Number #11

We are number 11 in amount of votes with 986! I have no idea how this happened, thank you so much for everyone who voted. Now I just have to stay in the top 50 for the next five weeks and think of some way to beat everyone out. I have sob stories, believe me.

Reaching Out For Help

Dear Various Awesome Bloggers,
I am trying to get married. Quickly. My Grandfather has been diagnosed with lung cancer and more than anything I want him at my wedding. Unfortunately we don't have time and we don't have money saved up. I have found a contest on Crate and Barrel to plan your dream wedding, we'd get the money and someone to plan it. I'd be able to have my grandfather at my wedding. And do ridiculously crazy things because they give you way too much money. So if you could, please put the link to our contest site up for people to vote. We need votes, and hopefully they'll pick us and I can have my wedding truly be the happiest day of my life.
To The Bloggess:
I'm addressing you separately because I have a few additional perks that I think you'd enjoy. Obviously by helping if we win we'd fly everyone who helped in to come (I mean $100,000 that you have to spend on a wedding). At the place we'd have it, the Museum of Science in Boton, there are 8 bathrooms. In each of the bathrooms there are sculptures of different animals poop. I thought you might like knowing that there will be entertainment, and learning, if a bathroom escapade is needed.

My Fantasy

I have been thinking about this wedding for awhile. So I already have some pretty concrete ideas of what my perfect wedding would be. It would be at the Museum of Science in Boston, with the ceremony in direct view of the T-Rex. We would have a humanist ceremony with friends and family giving speeches from horribly nerdy tv shows and movies (futurama and star trek TNG anyone?). Our first dance would be to Rock Lobster by the B-52s. Completely choreographed of course. Family pictures in the game room and the math room. Pictures in the shuttle. Lots and lots of dancing and singing.

Day Two Part 2

I just found out that Crate and Barrel is having a $100,000 wedding give away. This would be just amazing and solve about all of my problems. Please vote for me: http://www.ultimateweddingcontest.com/entries/33061 We really need the money. Honestly, if they could just give us like $15,000 I'd be ecstatic.

Day Two

So apparently the hardest part is convincing my fiance that this is a good idea. I had no idea that I would even have to convince him. I mean, this is my grandfather. He is one of the most important people in the world to me. How is going through the effort of planning a wedding even compare with losing my grandfather? I don't know what I'm going to do now.
Anyway, the original plan for today was to find out how much financial support my future in-laws would be willing to give us. As of now my budget is $0. Not sure what to do with that.
More talking with the fiance will commence later today. By the way, my therapist is completely on board with the idea.

Day One

So. My fiance and I got engaged a million years ago, or so it seems. Different things have kept putting off the wedding, mainly my Crohn's disease. Now that it's in remission and the end of college is right around the corner I decided that it was time to start the planning process.
Unfortunately, that's not the only reason I want to do it now. My Grandfather has recently been diagnosed with lung cancer. They don't really know how long he has left, they're saying a year but he's 86 so who knows. My Grandparents mean the world to me, I practically lived with them when I was little. I couldn't imagine having a wedding without them there. So I want to do this now.
My finals end on May 15th and Commencement is on May 25th, perfect amount of time for a wedding and honeymoon. In Disneyworld. So now all I have to do is find somewhere to have it, get food, a cake, someone to take pictures and video, a dj, flowers, other things I'm probably forgetting. Oh and invitations. I do already have a dress! Step one done!
So now here I am with 84 days to plan the best wedding ever with pretty much no money. Wish me luck.
